We dream of a fresh start, one that will set us on a journey sailing on the waves of sucess, breathing in the air of happiness. Yet we never ventrue from our daily routines, always believing that the adventure we dream of, is not for us. We come up with excuses why we are unable to take the first step into our future. We can’t find the time to write, or to play in a band, or rescue animals because we have to clean the house, grocery shop and run the dozens of other errands which have all of suddenly became important. However, we still manage to find time to watch our favorite reality shows and sitcoms. Explaining to our inner selves, “This is the only ‘me’ time you have had today.” That we need the time to relax from our hectic days, we need that few hours of doing nothing but sitting on a couch. But, do we really?
This website serves as more than a fresh start for myself, it is my first heart wrenching step into the freezing water. I type these words with the taste of sea salt on my tongue and the sound of waves crashing. Hoping beyond all possibility that the steps I take today, will lead to happiness and fulfilment. Money and success would help traverse these dangerous and unrelenting waters I have thrown myself into blindly, but it is the open sea and a clear night sky that I long to see. Currency in all its forms only take the body so far, it is the soul and mind that surpass breaking point after breaking point in order to see that last breath taking sunset.

I could wish you a safe journey, that your path always
be lit and the road smooth, but I think by now you know
that the easiest ways leave much to be desired. So instead
I hope you find balance in life. I hope for every moment of
pain you encounter you will also be met with joy that overrides it.
For every doubt that slithers in you find the confidence to go on, either
from yourself or the people that care for you. And most importantly,
for every fall, you discover the strength to stand again. And remember
the people standing beside you, cheering you every step of the way.
